Korean Artists Release Exceptional EP Celebrating Neumann Audio Technology

Back

Following the concert "Melody of Neumann: The Symphonize" at the prestigious Gurumare Theater in Seoul, Neumann Korea recently released an eponymous EP featuring two outstanding recordings. The instrumental tracks were written and recorded by Korean composer and producer Multipiri as a tribute to the excellence and craftsmanship behind Neumann audio equipment.

In collaboration with six Neumann related artists, the project features guitars played by 2km, violin parts by KoN, saxophone by Mellow Kitchen, complemented by classical guitar by Haeun Jang, bass by Beomseok Lee, percussion by Jaebeom Cho and whistle by Multipiri.

The first song “Neumann to Korea” was mixed by Lim Jae Geung at Yeha Studio and blends European Celtic music with the Korean folk song "Arirang" to celebrate the harmony between traditional and classical instruments. The second song, “Shooting Stars”, is inspired by one of the most exciting phenomena of the night sky. Following this immersive astronomical experience, Ho-Jung Kang produced a stunning Dolby Atmos mix at Seokyeong Studio, creating an audible 360-degree sensation of a meteor shower.

In addition to Neumann's MCM microphone system for guitar, saxophone, violin and accordion, a KM 184 for percussion and a KM 105 for Irish whistle, an MT 48 audio interface was used for the recording. Furthermore, a set of KH 120 II monitor speakers was used in the mixing process. All Tracks were mastered at SONICKOREA by Cheon Hoon, assisted by Shin Sumin, also using Neumann monitoring.

We are deeply moved and humbled by the dedication of everyone involved and their true passion for great sound.

Enjoy listening to "Melody of Neumann: The Symphonize“ on Spotify and Apple Music.
